Over the next two days, you’ll stay at TAASA Migration Camp, a beautifully appointed camp with signature "TAASA Moments". Enjoy unlimited game drives, bush sundowners and dinners under the stars. Each day unfolds differently - lion hunts at dawn, elephant herds crossing golden grasslands, cheetahs scanning the horizon.
Your journey continues with a scenic flight into a remote concession, where the experience becomes more intimate and untamed. Here, you’ll stay at TAASA Lodge, perched above the plains with sweeping, uninterrupted views.
Far from the crowds and free from typical park restrictions, these days are defined by true freedom - safari as it was meant to be. Over the next three days, enjoy signature “TAASA Moments,” including unlimited off-road game drives, night game drives, Maasai cultural visits and bush dining experiences.

Arusha is the gateway to northern Tanzania’s safari circuits, set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Meru and the sprawling plains of the surrounding region. Known as the “Safari Capital of Tanzania,” Arusha combines vibrant city life with easy access to some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife areas, including the Serengeti National Park.
The city itself is a lively mix of cultures, markets, and cafes, offering a taste of local Tanzanian life before embarking on a safari adventure. From here, travelers can explore nearby coffee and tea plantations, interact with local Maasai communities, or take gentle hikes on the lower slopes of Mount Meru, observing the rich birdlife and flora of the region.
Breath taking panoramic views of Mount Meru and the distant Mount Kilimanjaro, lush vegetation and a bustling city life.

Set against the backdrop of Mount Meru, Gran Meliá Arusha offers a refined introduction to northern Tanzania. Located within lush coffee and tea plantations, the property sits on the edge of Arusha - often referred to as the gateway to safari - with easy access to Arusha National Park and the wider Northern Circuit. The surrounding landscape is defined by fertile highlands, forested slopes, and sweeping views toward both Mount Meru and, on clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro.
The hotel blends contemporary luxury with natural surroundings, offering a tranquil retreat before or after a safari. Its elevated position provides a sense of space and calm, while still being connected to the cultural and commercial heartbeat of Arusha.
Coffee estate walks, views of Mount Meru, cultural encounters in Arusha, spa and wellness experiences, and a relaxed transition into safari life.

The Ndutu region lies on the southern edge of the Serengeti ecosystem, within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and is one of the most populated wildlife regions in East Africa. Defined by vast, open short-grass plains, seasonal lakes, and scattered acacia woodlands, Ndutu plays a critical role in the annual cycle of the Great Migration.
Between December and March, the area becomes the primary calving ground for wildebeest, with hundreds of thousands of animals gathering to give birth. This abundance of prey attracts a high concentration of predators, including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards, making it one of the best places in Africa to witness predator-prey interactions.
Unlike the central and northern Serengeti, Ndutu’s landscapes are more open and accessible, allowing for off-road driving in certain areas and more intimate wildlife encounters. The region’s seasonal nature means it transforms dramatically throughout the year, shaped by rainfall and the movement of animals.
Witnessing the Great Migration calving season, predator action, expansive game drives across open plains, and diverse birdlife around seasonal lakes.
The massive Kopje’s (rock formations) spread throughout the endless plains, are also a favorite napping spots for the resident cats.
TAASA Migration Camp is a luxury mobile safari camp designed to move with the rhythm of the Great Migration, offering a front-row seat to the Great Migration. Here, the boundary between camp and wilderness feels almost invisible - wildlife moves freely through the surrounding plains, and each day unfolds according to the movement of the herds.
Guests enjoy an all-inclusive stay in twelve elegant tents, with amenities including a lounge and bar tent, dining tent and outdoor fire pit. TAASA Moments include boma dinners beneath the stars, sundowners and thrilling game drives in open 4x4 vehicles led by expert guides. Cultural exchanges and unforgettable wildlife sightings complete this extraordinary safari experience.

Herds of wildebeest moving past camp at first light, the sounds of the migration echoing across the plains.
The Northern Serengeti is less visited than the southern plains, offering an unspoiled landscape. This region stretches from the Lobo Hills down toward Seronera and is characterized by rolling green hills and open savannahs. A few lodges are situated within Wildlife Management Areas which permit controlled off-road game drives allowing guests more exclusive safari experiences in open vehicles, particularly in the morning and evening when predators are most active. The Northern Serengeti is home to a diversity of wildlife, with exceptional opportunities for close and memorable encounters.
This region is home to a significant portion of the Serengeti’s elephant population, with the Lobo area in particular offering some of the best elephant sightings in the park. The Lobo Hills are also renowned for hosting large lion prides. Other wildlife commonly seen here includes cheetahs, leopards, spotted hyenas, and bat-eared foxes. The serval, a small spotted cat, is often spotted darting across open grasslands just after sunrise. On night game drives, keep an eye out for smaller and rarer species, such as bush babies, which add a special element to the nocturnal safari experience.
Seeing a lion up close and hearing its roar while off-roading on a night drive safari is exhilarating.
TAASA Lodge offers a tranquil escape among three of the largest wildlife ecosystems - Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Maasai Mara National Park.
The lodge features a lounge, bar, dining area, infinity pool and twelve elegant tents including options for families. Guests enjoy unique and immersive TAASA Moments including unlimited off-road day and night game drives in open-sided 4x4 vehicles, bush dining, bush sundowners, and Maasai cultural experiences which make every stay extraordinary.
Whether dining under the stars or watching a golden sunset, TAASA invites you to explore, connect and embrace the wild beauty of Tanzania.
