Roane Travel Design, in partnership with TAASA Luxury Lodges & Camps, presents the Ultimate Tanzania Safari Experience. This 7-day, all-inclusive luxury safari features expert-led hosting and exclusive access to the Serengeti’s most wildlife-rich regions. With just five departures and a maximum of 24 guests per journey, it’s an experience that feels personal from start to finish.

This seven-day itinerary takes you from the slopes of Mount Meru in Arusha, to two of the most extraordinary corners of the Serengeti ecosystem: the wildlife-dense plains of Ndutu during the calving season and a remote private concession in the Northern Serengeti. You’ll stay in two of TAASA’s most celebrated camps and enjoy the convenience of private aircraft transfers between locations.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be greeted by a private meet-and-greet service for your transfer. Your journey begins at the Gran Meliá Arusha, an oasis set within lush coffee and tea plantations. With Mount Meru as your backdrop and Kilimanjaro visible in the distance, it is the perfect place to decompress.
Arusha is Tanzania’s safari capital, and the Gran Meliá is a worthy introduction to what lies ahead; unhurried, beautiful, and positioned perfectly between city life and wilderness. Spend the afternoon however you like. Enjoy a spa treatment, walk through the estate or unwind with a sundowner on the rooftop bar overlooking the city’s edge.

A private flight whisks you to the Ndutu region, located at the southern edge of the Serengeti ecosystem within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Between December and April, this region hosts the Great Migration calving season, with hundreds of thousands of wildebeest spreading across the short-grass plains in one of the most staggering wildlife events on earth.
The calving draws every major predator in the area, which means lion hunts, cheetah sightings, and predator-prey action on a scale that’s genuinely hard to believe until you’re sitting in the middle of it.
You’ll spend two nights at TAASA Migration Camp, a luxury mobile camp positioned to stay close to the herds. Game drives are unlimited and you’ll be treated to signature ‘TAASA Moments’. Sundowners out in the bush, dinners set under open skies, and time to take in the sounds and atmosphere of the Serengeti.
For those looking to add something memorable, an optional sunrise hot air balloon safari offers a completely different perspective over the plains.

A scenic flight north takes you to a remote wildlife area, bordering the Northern Serengeti, where you’ll spend three nights at TAASA Lodge. TAASA Lodge is perched above the plains with sweeping, uninterrupted views. Twelve luxurious tents, an infinity pool, and a beautiful dining area that puts the landscape front and center.
This part of the Serengeti offers a quieter, more expansive experience, with fewer vehicles and less crowding. Game drives are not limited by typical park restrictions, allowing for a more fluid and immersive way of exploring the landscape – off-road, in open-sided game viewers. The Lobo Hills area is known for its large elephant population and resident lion prides. After dark, night drives regularly turn up servals, bush babies, and other nocturnal species that you don’t see during daytime safaris. Alongside the unlimited game drives, there’s time to experience the culture of the region, with visits to Maasai communities, as well as unforgettable bush dining experiences.

Your last morning in the Serengeti is unhurried. Enjoy breakfast and take in your surroundings before your scenic flight back to Arusha, where lunch awaits at Sanaa. Located on the grounds of the Gran Meliá, Sanaa is non-profit organisation which provides a truly touching and immersive end to your trip, before your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
Throughout the journey, you’ll be hosted by Melau Laltalia, one of the Serengeti’s most respected guides. Born and raised in the region, he brings a natural understanding of the landscape, wildlife, and seasonal patterns that shape each safari.

His approach to guiding adds depth to the experience, offering insight into animal behavior, tracking techniques, and the broader ecosystem. Beyond the game drives, Melau’s personal connections to the local Maasai communities add a cultural dimension to the week that’s as memorable as anything you’ll see from the vehicle.
If you’re not ready to leave East Africa behind, your journey can be extended to include
additional experiences across the region. From gorilla trekking in Rwanda or Uganda to time on the beaches of Zanzibar or a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater, each extension can be seamlessly added to complement your safari.
